Kids at The House Church

A Place for kids to have fun and encounter jesus

At The House Church your children are a top priority! We are here to partner with you to see God’s best for your family.

The House Kids program is designed to help your child encounter the Lord for themselves. During our weekend programs you can expect corporate worship, skits, activities, games and crafts that will point your child towards Jesus and help them learn and understand His word. There is no junior Holy Spirit! However, there are clear phases of development and age-appropriate processes, so you can be confident that your child is receiving the best possible program for them at The House!

Babies and Toddlers

Your little ones will have so much fun playing in our baby area with other kids their age and the leaders who will ensure their experience is safe and filled with good times and giggles. Your babies will receive tender care and intentional playtime. Toddlers will get to sing and dance to worship songs, do fun crafts and have guided playtime in our big playroom with our awesome classroom teachers.

What To Expect on Sunday

Kids at The House Church

1. Check-In

Each weekend you will check-in your kids at the Children’s Ministry welcome area, which is directly connected to the main lobby of the church. Checking them into our system ensures we know all the pertinent information so your kids have the best experience possible.

2. Drop-Off

From check-in, Babies and toddlers can be dropped off directly in their classrooms. All other children will head into the kids chapel. Parents of younger children are welcome to accompany them into the chapel to hand the child off to their designated leader. Games and music will greet your child as the gathering time begins. In the kids chapel your children will experience: worship, skits, games, and short, powerful teachings. After these activities kids will break into age-specific small groups and head to their classrooms.

3. Classrooms

Once in their classrooms the leaders will provide additional age-appropriate teaching and activities to build upon the lesson taught in the larger room. Teachers in each room will remain consistent throughout the school year. This allows for relationships to develop and mentoring to take place. All lessons are planned ahead of time and available to parents upon request.

Additional info & Faqs

Each person on our kids team has passed a background check and has gone through our Kids Team orientation which includes a thorough training of our safety and security policies. This detailed process ensures that your child is in the best possible care in a fun and secure environment while you are in service.

At the time of your first check-in, you will be guided by a caring volunteer leader through the registration process. All following check-ins will be self guided. You will check in your child with a phone number for a cell phone that you have in your possession. Babies and toddlers will be dropped off directly in their classrooms. You and your child will also receive a check-in tag specifically created with a code for your child. If your child needs you at any time during the service, you will see their code flash on the middle screen. If you miss the code on the screen we will text you. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding coded tag upon pick-up.

Please label all items with your child’s first and last name. Please bring their diaper bag complete with at least two disposable diapers or pull-ups, a change of clothes, and a bottle or snack item if they will be hungry. Please, no cloth diapers.

The House Church will provide a gluten-free, easy to chew snack option for your child. In cases of special dietary needs parents can also bring a simple snack for their child. Please provide the classroom lead with instructions.

We ask that you pick up your child immediately following the completion of service. We encourage families to include their children in ministry times following the service. Children who are not picked up within ten minutes of service completion will be escorted by a staff member to find their parents.

If you or anyone in your family are experiencing any of the following symptoms: a fever (100.4 degrees F or higher), chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of smell or taste we ask that everyone in your family stays home. If your child is experiencing any symptoms of illness we ask that you keep them at home.
