God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and His fire remains the same. In the time of Sodom and Gomorrah it burned two cities filled with sin, but today, since Jesus has paid the price for our sins, it purifies us to make us more like Christ. By allowing God’s holy fire to have its perfect work in our lives, we can be confident before Him on our judgement day.
